When a planet goes in “Retrograde” ….are its influences seemingly voided out during this time?
First of all, the outer planets are in retrogrades almost 46% of the year, these are the collective planets, planets that have a stronger impact with the general population. Whereas Retrogrades to personal planets could have a stronger impact. The orbit shift giving the illusion of the planet going backwards. Erin Sullivan wrote a book on retrogrades, it is ok. You may not feel the outer planets as strongly as the inter planets as those would be felt stronger through a return chart or a progress chart. In transits those may be felt when it hits an aspect in our charts, or if we have a Strong degree and placement of a planet, we could feel things a little longs.
