The company’s completed its IPO on April 24, 1996, at which time its common stock began trading on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol “GUMM.” As of June 19, 2002, the company’s NASDAQ trading symbol changed to “MTXX” to reflect the change of the company’s name to Matrixx Initiatives, Inc.
