When did Pons Quintana’s trademark plaiting first begin?
Twenty-five years ago. We made several designs that sold really well and then were approached by a major French client who kept coming back for more. Our plaited designs involve several days’ work and different motifs are drawn on to the leather for a unique result. Today, we are on the leading edge of that technique. Our plaiting gets a finish, gloss, leather and ageing that is all our own.
