When do cherry blossoms / flowering plums bloom?
Think about planting tulips bulbs in the spring they will bloom in the fall for the first year and then they will restart there cycle and bloom in spring the following year,There are fall blooming cherrys and plums however the fact you planted them in spring instead of fall (best time to plant trees are during dormant season) You confused the tree and it bloomed i would say you should prob enjoy the tree this year in the late season and then you will find it bloom in its proper cycle time and that is spring.It sounds to me you have good ground and have taken care when planting as a rule a tree nearly dies befor it blooms.So this is a good thing.Your doing somthing good!!
