When does the harry potter theme park open?
It did not open last Friday. I was in town last week, and for sure it was not open – they were still working on the retheming (Dueling Dragons is still currently down since they are repainting it and are retheming the ride for Dragon’s Challenge or whatever it will be called). The new area looked like it is nearing completion – you are right in that there is no definite date yet, which either means they still have a bit to go, or perhaps they will try to make it for before or near Spring Break time. So I’m not exactly sure, my guess it that you have a decent chance of it opening by then, however I just wanted to confirm the fact that it is NOT open yet (did not open last Friday). Also – I think a lot of people are confused and think that this is another theme park that is just Harry Potter…it really is only a section of an existing park (Islands of Adventure), so it’s not a “Harry Potter Theme Park” – it’s only a SECTION of Islands of Adventure that they had totally rethemed to Harry
