When gaps in student performance are identified, is there research on student learning that would help us make informed changes in the design of our core courses?
Professionals familiar with this research have been assigned to each college as “learning consultants.” Please check with your Dean’s office for a current list. In addition, a recommended list of reference materials is included as Attachment 11 and a particularly useful summary of the research on student learning, “The Seven Principles for Good Practice in Undergraduate Education,” is enclosed as Attachment 12.
