The issue can be resolved if you restart the service after you close the VPN client in this way: To stop: sudo kextunload -b com.cisco.nke.ipsec To start: sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/CiscoVPN/CiscoVPN Also verify the following running on the same machine where the VPN client is installed and disable the same. • Any virtual software (such as, VMWare Fusions, Parallels, crossovers). • Any antivirus/firewall software. • Compatibility of the VPN client with the 64-bit operating system; refer to the Cisco VPN Client Release Notes.
