When I do cleartool ls, it says “[eclipsed]”. What does “eclipsed” mean?

This occurs if you have a view private element of the same name as an element in the CC structure. You probably want to see the checked-in element, but what you see is your own copy. This usually happens by copying a file into a folder where such a versioned element exists (in a normal file system, this would be overwritting the original file), or when you copy a whole subtree that someone else already put under version control, and later update your config spec to show those files.
