You may have some kind of a pop-up blocker program installed on your browser like Pop-Up Stopper from Panicware (www.panicware.com), AdSubtract from Intermute (www.adsubtract.com) or the free Google toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/) to name a few. These programs stop browser pop-ups that automatically appear on the screen without requiring an action on your part (e.g. a mouse click). When you try to open a book in the DX Reader, the ‘Opening DX Reader..,’ pop-up appears before the actual Reader opens. This pop-up is used by our site to send your request to the DX Reader server. This is why, if you have the pop-up blocker enabled, the attempt to open the Reader is prematurely stopped.
