When I try to open my Direct Deposit AdviceI get a message: “Protected – View has encountered a password protected/encrypted file.” What should I do?
This message occurs because the Direct Deposit Advice PDF file is password protected and cannot be opened by View. To correct this go to tools in the menu bar and then select options. When the options window appears double-click on environment. When the environment window appears select the default actions tab. Where it says file attachments choose the check box for open attachment. The next time you try to open your Direct Deposit Advice it will open the attachment with Acrobat Reader and you will need to enter you password to open.
