Make sure you don’t have any lines in the config.sys or the autoexec.bat that refer to a CD-ROM. If you want, you can email me copies of these files and I will tell you what needs to be removed. Also, on some systems Direct-CD can cause the system to slow down. This is because packet writing is always checking the drive. It is always running in the background. Just to factor some things out, I would uninstall Direct CD and leave only the Easy CD Creator on the system. Then see if the performance is any better. Try using one of the three recommended brands of media as well. They are TDK, Kodak, and Taiyo Yuden.
