Yes, for Windows Vista the UAC must be disabled for install. For Windows 7 it is not necessary to disable the UAC for install. However, if you want to do the following you will need to disable the UAC: customize a rendering set, run the Workshare Configuration Assistant or amend the Workshare Protect policy options using the Policy Configuration Manager. To disable the UAC for Windows Vista please do the following: • Step 1: To disable, please go to: Start – Control Panel – User Accounts • Step 2: Turn User Access Control (UAC) off • Step 3: Remove the check mark from the box next to User Access Control (UAC). After the system reboots, you may begin the installation. Please see screenshots below.
