When is the deadline for merchants to validate PCI DSS compliance?
Compliance validation deadlines vary depending on your PCI Level. PCI Level 1-3 merchants have specific validation deadlines based on the date on which their level was identified by their acquirer and reported to Visa. Merchants Already Identified as PCI Level 1 or 2 by Visa Includes merchants previously identified by Visa (including those coming to Bank of America from another acquirer)In addition to meeting their initial PCI compliance validation deadline, these merchants will be required to revalidate annually Revalidation documentation (forms) will be due 12 months after: • The “as of” date on a ROC for Level 1 merchants • The “completion” date marked on the SAQ for Level 2 merchants (Attestation of Compliance section, Part 3).
