Gladioli will typically bloom once per year, sometimes there are smaller bulbs, around the main one, that may also have flowers, at or after the timing of the main bulb. After flowering, remove the spent flower, to prevent energy being wasted on seed production. Then let your plant die back naturally, as it needs to make next year’s flower before dieing back this year. It’s then good to go next summer. Should be fine in the ground over-winter, in the greater london area, and much of the UK. You could also feed them now, to help their growth and bulb building this year. Hope this helps and all is good with you!
