When should I schedule to have gas service restored by PG&E / Palo Alto Utilities?

Gas service may be restored 1 day after your Tent Down date. It is highly advised that your appointment for a “fumigation turn-on” (unlock) is scheduled for later in the day, at least after 12 noon (your property will not be safe for re-entry until then), but preferably between 5 p.m. & 8 p.m. Please call your utility company, at least 1 week in advance, to schedule your appointment as desired times are difficult to obtain.

A notice will be posted on the front door (or on whichever entryway the key provided opens) verifying when a fumigated structure is safe for re-entry. This is the same notice the utility company requires to be presented to them to have the gas service restored/gas meter re-assembled/pilot light(s) re-lit. Your utility comp
