When trying to view a webcast with live captioning, I see a message saying: “Detecting Java Runtime Environment…”. What should I do?
When you load the captioning display, it will attempt to determine what application runtime environments are available within your web browser. This message should appear for less than a second. If this message continues to be displayed, either your web browser is not capable of running a Java application or a setting in your web browser is preventing the captioning display from functioning properly.
