When will the piloting of the Common Standards and the Tool and Guidelines occur?
Piloting of the Standards and the tool and guidelines will occur in three stages during April – October 2008: Stage 1: April-May 2008: Proof of concept through initial testing and refinement. This stage will involve testing and refinement of the tool and guidelines including the wording of the Common Standards Stage 2: June-July 2008: Redevelopment and refinement of the tools, guidelines and Standards using various sources of information including information from Stage 1, the results of the Evaluation of the Quality Reporting Arrangements and the scoping and development of specifications for more complex care Stage 3: Field Testing and Jurisdictional Input/Piloting of the Standards and their supporting documentation (Self-Assessment Tool, Assessment and Providers’ Guidelines) It is proposed that the field testing will be: • nationally co-ordinated and undertaken within each jurisdiction • both high and low care service providers will participate in the field test The purpose of the fi
