DESCRIPTION Desloratadine, the major active metabolite of loratadine, currently is approved by the FDA for use in patients with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It appears to have a prompt onset of action in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria.
