I’ve gotten lots of awesome body jewelry on eBay, it’s just a matter of weeding though the crap. You can also get them in bulk there which will make it easier for you. I’ll tell you, the colours will rub off the ones you buy at piercers too. I’ve bought niobium and it loses it’s colour in 6 months. The stuff I bought on ebay, on the other hand, is still in great condition about 4 years later. All the screws are internal, and they’re straight. It’s a matter of finding a good seller, I guess. Check feedback – that’s your best gauge.
A quick Google search for Piercing Supply Company gave several legitimate looking sites. The trouble with trying to bypass the middle-man is you usually need to buy in quantity. Piercers probably mark jewelery up quite a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where the real money is. Maybe you could start an eBay business of your own, discount QUALITY body jewelry. Another option would be to involve friends who are also pierced and share an order.
