Where can I find information about Good Systems Practices, specifically about computer systems validation?

I read an article at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/library/content/RationalEdge/aug04/5566.html about meeting regulatory mandates for systems with Good Systems Practices. I also read an article at http://www.qsi-inc.com/Articles/Where%20is%20the%20Value.pdf about the value of applying good systems practices (GSPs) to the acquisition, development, implementation, and production control of a system. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any descriptive or comprehensive information about GSPs. I would like to learn more about GSPs and possible overlap with CMMi. Do you know where I can find information or training? Do you have expertise in GSPs and relation to CMMi to share? I would appreciate your assistance.
