• A: Your local Center for Independent Living (CIL) offers services to assist individuals with disabilities and their families begin the process of finding a suitable housing situation. What are my rights? Can I file a complaint? • A: Under the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988, discrimination in housing is prohibited because of handicap. The home provides many programs and services, such as rehabilitation, physical therapy and exercise, computer training, recreational activities, educational assessment, and many more.
