No, for AKC the PARENTS have to be registered. You can register dogs with one of the SCAM registries with a picture. Bottom line, if you have no papers, there is NO proof that your cat is purebred. Especially in cats, because many common cats can look like a breed. You would be suprised how many people think because they have a grey cat that it MUST be a Russian Blue. Or just because it is big and tabby it is a Maine Coon. OR ANY Siamese marked cat MUST be pure. The CFA…the ONLY reputable cat registry, will not issue papers based on a photo.
