The Kirkland Police Department provides copies of police reports and traffic accident reports for incidents that occurred within the City of Kirkland and that the Department has investigated. A Request for Case/Accident Report form is required to be filled out and submitted for review. It takes approximately 5 business days to process your request. Washington State law (RCW 42.17.320) and Kirkland Police Department policy regulates who may receive copies of cases. In some instances, your copy may be edited to withhold certain information pending disposition of the case, or for other reasons. There is no charge for copies of police reports or traffic accident reports. For more information, contact the Kirkland Police Department Record’s Division at (425)587-3458. (See also Request for Public Disclosure.) If you have been issued a criminal citation, you must request a copy of your police report through Discovery. Contact the Kirkland Prosecutor’s Office at 425-284-2362 for further inform
