Where can I get a loft? What are the rules concerning lofts and loft construction?
Most of the rooms have bunkable bed frames, but students often choose to construct lofts in room where they are allowed. It is usually best to wait until you arrive on campus and see if your room is equipped with loftable beds. If it does not have loftable beds, you and your roommate(s) can decide if loft beds are the best solution for your room. Once all your roommates have agreed to build a loft, pick up a copy of the Loft Policy from your community office and follow the guidelines as you build your loft. You may also view the complete loft policy online. New residents should be aware that they are likely to receive unsolicited offers for rental, sale and/or installation of loft systems after being accepted for admittance to UGA. Please note that the Department of University Housing does not endorse any third party vendors of this kind. Residents should act with caution, especially with any firm requesting cash deposits in advance of loft delivery/installation.
