Ryton PPS shapes are available in both compression-molded and extruded rods, plates and tubes.  The most common grade is Ryton R-4 (40% glass-filled), although most molders use the base Ryton PPS resin and blend it with 40% glass to create an equivalent product at a lower price point.  This product can be ordered online at http://www.professionalplastics.com/RYTONPPS40GLASS . Unfilled PPS is also available under the brand name Techtron PPS.  This product can also be purchased online at http://www.professionalplastics.com/TECHTRON-PPS . Techtron does not use Ryton brand resin.  It is made from Ticona’s PPS resin.

Large stock shapes made from Ryton PPS injection molding compounds are not available because the injection molding compounds are not suitable for producing thick forms. Some Compression Molders (see Processors) supply PPS rod, sheet, and tube stock, but it is important to understand that parts machined from compression molded PPS rods, sheets, or hollow forms will likely not perform the same as parts injection molded from Ryton PPS injection molding compounds. For more information see Rod, Plate and Tube Stock Availability.
