Current licence codes for the SPSS and SAS statistical packages are available to registered users from the web page at https://register.oucs.ox.ac.uk/software/ Registration for these packages in done through the OUCS Shop, normally at the time of initial purchase of the software. To enter the new licence codes: • SAS for Windows – use the [Renew SAS Software] menu option and navigate to the new SAS licence file downloaded from OUCS. • SPSS for Windows (version 12 only) – use the [Start/Run] menu to run the licrenew utility in the SPSS program folder (usually located in C:\Program Files). If your licence is very out of date, extra steps may be needed. If you get the message Error 7007: There appears to be a license for SPSS but it is invalid. Specific symptom: 32 then go to ftp://ftp.spss.com/pub/spss/windows and download the file backdate.exe to your machine. Then double-click backdate.exe to run it – SPSS should now start without problems. If you do not get Error 7007, have gone throu
