Where do I put my webpages and files?

To make your website files available at http://www.yourdomain.com, put them in the directory named: /htdocs/www The file that will be the default page shown when someone goes to just your domain name, or just to a directory, must be named index.html. All webpages are served from subdirectories of the /htdocs directory. These subdirectories correspond to subdomains of your domain like “www”. No files will be served directly from the /htdocs directory or any other directory above it. The special subdirectory named _ that is located in your /htdocs directory is a symbolic link to /htdocs/www and should not be deleted. It allows people to use just “yourdomain.com” in addition to “www.yourdomain.com” and arrive at the same place on your website. See also: creating subdomains for your website.
