Unfortunately, you probably didn’t irradicate all the mites the first time. It has just taken them this long to reproduce to the point of you noticing them again. I’m a hamster breeder with over a hundred hamsters at any given time. When I first started, I had a mite problem as well. I did get bitten alot. It got to the point that I was so sensitive to the mites, I could feel them crawling on me. That is not anything I ever want to relive. I tried many things to eliminate them but none of them worked completely until I found Ivermectin. You can purchase Ivermectin from a farm or vet supply catalogue. I like Valley Vet Supply and have found their prices to be the cheapest. You want to purchase Ivomec’s Injection Solution for Cattle and Swine (don’t worry, you won’t be injecting your hamster!). Here’s what you need to do, clean your hamster’s cage completely. Soak it in a 1:10 bleach solution for at least 10 minutes. Then clean it as you normally would, being sure to get any bleach resid
