Where does Silk get its soy beans from?
Silk currently sources all of its soybeans from growers in North America. All of the soybeans used in our products are non-GMO, produced without genetic modification. We employ robust quality testing protocols to detect GMOs, pesticide residue and other potential contaminants. This ensures that our beans meet the highest standards of quality, consistency and safety. In fact, our rigorous standards exceed our industry’s regulatory requirements. The organic soybeans purchased by Silk are certified organic by independent agencies accredited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in compliance with the organic standards set by the National Organic Program (NOP). Every organic supplier that we work with is required to demonstrate compliance to its site-specific organic systems plan and NOP standards.
