Where does the name “Lucidicus” come from?

The name of the project is simply a creation based on the word lucid, which means “clear to the understanding.” (We wanted a short URL that wasn’t taken, and something unique for the sake of search engines.) It is fitting because the purpose of the project is to help make the idea of free markets clear to students. Over the years, definitions of important concepts such as rights and capitalism have been distorted by their detractors. Our goal is to help make these concepts intelligible so that young doctors understand, for instance, what actually constitutes a legitimate right and what kind of society actually leads to happiness and prosperity.
