Where is the Best City Tour in Chicago, Illinois?
We took the Trolley and Double Decker tour this past weekend and we had a most enjoyable trip. The bus and trolly are great, we also found the guides and drivers to be fantastic and cannot believe their knowledge of the city. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly and most helpful making us feel extremely welcome to your country.Pros + easy to get around the city; great value, goes ALL OVER the city
Every year for now 5 years I go on each major architectural river cruise to ensure that I have first hand knowledge to rely on when assisting guests at work trying to book these wildly popular- and for good reason – chicago tours. Certainly being on the river on a beautiful day in Chicago is a treat regardless and include starbucks and pastries I am even happier! They even have evening cruises with cocktails- Happy Hour(well hour and a half) And if you or if you have kids with you if they can hold it together for 90 minutes then by all means do not short yourself by taking the shorter tours of 30 or 60 min available elsewhere. you can’t do the full river in less than 90 min. This tour always is my favorite as the tour guides are historians(this is the official tour of the Chicago History Museum) and no one tells a better more comprehensive and interesting story of the chicago skyline than the tour guides with Chicago Line cruises. Oak Park- worth the visit Not only is the tour informative, but right outside are examples of his body of work. Don’t forget a visist to the Unity Temple. The walk is gorgeous, people are friendly. And to end your time in Oak Park, plan on dinner at Lake and Oak Park Ave. No chain restaurants – one of my fav is Hemingsway’s, a French Bistro. And to top it off, drop in on Brown Cow on Madison Ave for homemade Ice cream
We just took the 22 miles Obama Stimulous Package tour from Navy Pier to south Chicago. A mild misnomer, because the tour goes through much more than spots that dotted President Obama’s southside experience. If you read the novel Devil in White City, you will go past many places mentioned in that bestseller, plus tour along the magnificent Chicago coastline….
