Where is the Best Power Lunch in Columbus, Ohio?

This was my first major sushi experience in Columbus since moving from California. The quality of the fish was better than I expected being land-locked. Our server was either too cool to be there and too busy posing for the attractive clientele. Drinks came very slow so maybe the bartender was slow. Crowded could not be an excuse because it was 9:30 – too late for most to have dinner and just before the party scene. They also had NO desserts according to the waiter. He said the “Ice cream wasn’t delivered today”. It’s ice cream, it won’t go bad if you order too much. Everyone try green tea ice cream, just don’t bank on it here.Pros + Sake list, good sushi and rolls menuCons – Service

This was a great lunch and would make a good dinner. The 1950’s style it was totally fun. Be careful because the pizza is only serived in the evening and on weekends but everything I have had on the menu was great. Besides that anytime to dine for 15.00 and leave full I am having a great day.Pros + Price, Taste, FeelCons – Hard to fine, Funny Ordering Set Up

Some will find BdB loud, tacky, boisterous and inauthentic. And they would be right. Yes, the portions are enormous, but the food is nowhere near as good as, say, Salvi’s or Moretti’s. BdB is not the place for a romantic first date or anniversary – you find yourself shrieking to be heard – but if you’re looking for a fun night out with friends or having an informal celebration of some kind, I’d say check it out. The servers do their best to take care of everyone but don’t expect your glass to be refilled immediately. Parking can also suck. Oh, and try the Spumoni with chocolate sauce. Mmmmmm!Pros + Fun & exuberant, LocationCons – Parking, Very noisy, A bit tacky

I lived in Columbus for 3 years, so I know the town well. People used to talk up Lindey’s all the time. It was not until I left the city that I actually returned and had dinner there. My bad. It is without question the best restaurant in town, and not to sound snobbish, but I’ve eaten all over the states (French Laundry, Bouchon, Madison Park, Union Square, Gramercy, Le Cirque, David Burke, Robuchon, etc), and as far as Columbus goes, this place is the best. It has its own class and charm, located in German Village, which is the nicest part of the city. The food is always great, and on two occasions my waiters were aspiring chefs, which is a great thing. The menu is pretty standard, but again, it’s all great. Everyone in my party last time (March 2007) loved everything, from the chopped salad, the crab cakes, the veal, the bone-in-ny, and the chicken…it’s all great. In the summer and spring you can eat outdoors and it’s very pleasant.
