Where is the Best Steak in Los Angeles, California?

My boyfriend and I just celebrated our anniversary at Ruth’s Chris in Woodland Hills. I made the reservation online through their website and indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary. We got there about 15 minutes early and checked in. We waited for about 20 minutes (considering we were early, so we really only waited 5 minutes). They were turning away patrons because there were so many reservations. So note to self people! MAKE RESERVATIONS!! We were greeted by our bus boy who had his tray of water selections, “would you like sparkling, mineral or tap?” That was about the last time we saw him. He never did come back to fill up our “tap” water. We were then graciously greeted by our waiter Jorge who was great. I ordered the rib eye (medium rare – which totally excited Jorge. I’m sure he gets a little miffed when people order their steaks more than medium) and my BF ordered the NY strip. Jorge suggested we order 2 sides: garlic mashed potatoes and the asparagus

I took a date to Boa on Saturday night and enjoyed it very much. I had the 40 day ny steak medium rare. In the very center of the steak it was a little too rare but other than that one by one inch piece it was prepared perfectly. They have some steak rubs that they offer on the side which were tasty but I didn’t care for putting it on my steak…it was too good for that!My date had the bone in filet and if I go back to this restaurant I would order that steak instead because I did like it even more than my own.The restaurant is indeed trendy. The tables are far apart and the open atmosphere does make it loud but the vibe is very friendly and fun. It’s a see and be seen kind of place so dress sharp and get to know your neighbors by flashing them your pearly whites and they’ll do the same. Some of these reviews said the staff were not friendly or professional…I couldn’t disagree more. They were very friendly and provided superior service. From the moment I made reservat

it’s always good here. but we recommend only going to get their prime rib- afterall, that’s what they’re know for. the sides you order that come along w/ the prime rib dinner are all very good as well. do order the bread pudding too! the service is always so pleasant- the cutely dressed older waitresses really make your meal just a little bit better.. they’ve been serving prime rib probably longer than i’ve been alive. have dessert & coffee too when you’re done. the decor feels like you’re dining in a ball room. you see tons of tourists dining w/ you too! Pros + all round great dining experienceCons – tourists, tourists, tourists!

My love for this place knows no bounds. I live in San Francisco, but I’m always in Santa Monica for business. I must go to the Galley at least two or three times a month. Whenever I step in the door, I am welcomed with such hoopla, I swear that I feel like Norm from Cheers. The service is so amazing, they already have my drink made before I get to my booth and then the server confirms “Ribeye, medium rare plus with peppercorn sauce on the side? And garlic mashed potatoes and spinach?” How can they possibly remember all that? It’s truly a great home away from home, fabulous food and friendly service.

This place is hitt or miss. Recently I had was craving a good steak, and I came to Wood Ranch and ordered the rib eye; it was extremely delicious, tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend their scrumptious fresh-baked rolls, are covered in a thin film of olive oil and garlic. I’ve had other meals from their lunch menu that did not impress me as much; once I got the tri-tip and it was cold in the middle. Perhaps the issue is that their “cheap” lunch menu isn’t as good as their full-price dinner menu? Also, they don’t validate parking which stinks considering that they are located in the Grove.Pros + Ribeye steak, garlicky fresh-baked rollsCons – they don’t validate parking, lunch menu is so-so
