Qdoba Mexican Grill is a Denver-based chain of more than 450 fast/casual Mexican restaurants in 42 states. It is looking for franchise partners to develop multiple units in the greater Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The firm, formed 14 years ago, launched 77 units in fiscal 2008 and plans to add 60 to 80 more this year. Qdoba’s menu centers around large signature burritos that offer nouveau-Mexican flavors, including poblano pesto, fajita ranchera, ancho chile BBQ and three-cheese queso, along with a wide variety of items such as grilled quesadillas, taco salads, nachos, “Naked Burritos”–a burrito served in a bowl with an optional tortilla on the side–tacos and Mexican Gumbo. All items are made fresh in front of the customer. Entrees range in price from approximately $5.50 to $7.
