TO: REV. WALTER KING FROM: MYRON JOHNSON Dear Rev. King, I hope that this letter find you and your congregation in the best of health and spirit. I recently spoke to someone about some of the problems that continue to plaque our community. I have seen a spike in illegal drug activity not only in the Lindsay Street areas but Mulberry, and Lytle streets as well. I am confident to say that this illegal drug activity fuels the violence. I cant remember a time where I have seen so much ignorance and apathy among our people and leadership. I want to commend you for at least showing that you care and addressing your concerns to Reidsville City council. We have three Black councilmen on the city council. I liked Mr. Henderson when he served as the president of the local NAACP in the late 1980s however it seems that hes grown soft or perhaps the years have worn him down.
