Wheres That Wiki?
Wikipedia The Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia containing open source, public domain content, and contributed to and edited by the general public. Wiki wiki means “quick” in Hawaiian. A Wiki is a communal resource, allowing users to create and edit their own Web content, through a browser, and contributing it to the resource. The Wikipedia is an interesting blend of community and information all in one resource, and it comes in multiple languages. The Law entries tend to be introductory although they cross link to other entries. For example, the Black’s Law Dictionary link cuts over to a description of who Black was, when the Dictionary came about, and who its current editor and publisher is. It also has a link to the 1910 edition, in the public domain, that is freely available online. The idea of a Wiki is interesting because it allows a large community to draw on the knowledge that its individual members can contribute. Over 2000 articles are added each month, each by a Wikipedian. T
