Which browser can be used to access R.E.D. Server?
R.E.D. Server is not browser specific. The following browsers have been tested: – Internet Explorer from Microsoft, – Konqueror from KDE, – Opera, – Chrome, – Mozilla/Firefox, – Safari, Extensive tests have been carried out using Chrome, Mozilla/Firefox and Opera. Consequently, it is strongly recommended to use one of these browsers… Finally, since the R.E.D. Server web site uses PHP sessions with cookies (to control the access to R.E.D. Server), the javascript language (to control the shape of each window and provide information/definitions in ‘popup’ windows), and Java (to visualize charge values and structures with Jmol), cookies, javascript and java have to be enabled in the user browser. Moreover, the J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) has to be installed on the R.E.D. Server user front-end machine (client) if the user wants to visualize the charges and the structures reported on the R.E.D. Server web site. Jmol has been installed on R.E.D. server, each user does not need to install
