Which courseware authoring tool is worth learning (time investment)?
About a year or two ago all I heard was that Authorware was both excellent and dead. Macromedia has since been bought by Adobe. Two weeks ago at a education technology conference I found an Adobe employee who had originally been Macromedia. He told me that Adobe does not have any plans to move either direction (update Authorware or kill it). I would like to know from others who are creating courses for an in-house system (like a university) or for individual clients – which authoring tool has the robust features, ease of use, SCORM and Section 508 / Accessiblity built in.
