Which Detroit high-end Fantasy draft pick has been more disappointing: Pavel Datsyuk or Henrik Zetterberg?

What a tough call. Both players were among the top 12 players drafted in CBSSports.com leagues in 2009-10 and neither player is even in the top 30 scorers among Fantasy forwards. Much like Chara they have been victim to a season of underwhelming expectations. But out of the two I’m choosing Zetterberg. Datsyuk was the higher-rated player going into the season after two straight 97-point campaigns. He is only on pace for 58 points, but he is still a plus-11 player and isn’t hurting Fantasy owners because of poor defense. His biggest obstacle has been the lack of viable scoring wingers after Detroit was devastated by offseason attrition and injuries. Zetterberg takes the cake because he has only scored 12 times in 43 games and is on pace for 19 goals. Zetterberg was expected to have a huge bounce-back season in ’09-10 after Marian Hossa blew out of Motown for the Windy City in July.
