Which engine is more bulletproof?
I despise any Chevy design from 1987 up. They were a favorite of mine back in the daze when you could get a full engine chrome dress-up kit for $30 at any Auto Zone…….but……since 1987 they went so cheap with their material they make their plastic connectors out of……..added to the stupid electrical engineering designs and “features” ……..They have turned in to a bait and switch gimmick……..GM’s are constantly in our shop for electrical related problems. It’s no wonder they are now called “Government Motors” by many But……I will say…..that 3.8 is about the best motor they built in a while. It is a common motor I see come in to the shop all the time in decent running condition for it’s age (and the typical “class” of people who operate them) So…….anyways …….yeah………I give this one to the 3.
