both are different streams; software engineering will prepare you for a job in software development and this will have many programmming languages as its contents; while systems engineering and networking will focus more on to the hardware and networking part of the IT; now you need to map against your interest and which one of this will be more comfortable to you. job opportunities are equally good for both of these, with more and more people focusing on to software development, systems and networking are equally important too, and specalizing in this stream also have equally good job opportunities; however, to sum it up, software engineering and development will have better edge, when compared to systems engineering,in my view.
