Which is best non pull harness for dogs?
“No pull” harnesses merely teach the dog to pull in new and inventive ways. I’ve seen dogs twisting into unbelievable shapes (sometimes even right out of the tool) just to keep pulling and i’ve seen them completely ignoring the tool and taking the “discomfort” supposedly caused by the placement of the straps. These tools don’t stop pulling on MOST dogs (especially large breeds). They actually only work on a surprisingly low percentage of dogs. Has your friend tried TRAINING the dog with a simple slip collar and guidance from a professional? I don’t like suggesting many of the available tools because tools are only as good as the handler using them, and in my experience many of the people using said tools are not using them properly and are using them IN PLACE OF training – hence why they don’t work.
