Neither. Both lines of writers are generally decent, but they have different strengths and weaknesses. Depending on your needs, one or the other might be more suitable for you :Renasas • Very fast 16x burns • Slightly better support in terms of 3rd party firmware hacking tools • Can burn some 8x DVD+R media at 12x • Unable to burn 16x DVD-R media at 12x • H10x/H12x models produce burns that seem to give inaccurate quality scan results when scanned with BenQ writers.
