Which is the best Linux for embedded systems development?

As far as development tools go, Linux distro doesn’t make much difference, if at all. Because kernels are the same, the functionality you get out is identical. The only difference between distros is the software that comes with it which can easily be changed. So, choose the one you’re most comfortable with. If you’re new to Linux, then I would suggest these easy-to use distributions: openSuse – http://www.en.opensuse.org Ubuntu – http://www.ubuntu.com Mandriva – http://www.mandriva.com/ Fedora – http://fedoraproject.org/ NOTE: If you want to be precise, the kernels do differ between distros, they are modified to some degree. But the capability of embedded systems development does not depend on those modifications.
