Which is the better martial art style between Jeet Kune Do and Aikido?
“Better” is mostly a matter of opinion, and not so much a quantifiable measure, when comparing most martial arts to each other. A lot will depend on the differences of the skills of the instructors of the two arts. Aikido is a new martial art that is based mostly on older Judo/Jujitsu, with plenty of new variations added … JKD is also a new martial art, but it is based mostly on a blend of Tai Chi Chuan and Wing Chun Chuan, with many bits and pieces from numerous other martial arts also added in. Aikido is a modern result of Japanese martial arts developments with some added techniques from around the world, while Jeet Kune Do is a modern result of Chinese martial arts developments, with many varying techniques added from styles from all around the world.
