Do you leave your kettle on all day just in case you want a coffee No, you boil your kettle just when you want some hot water Likewise just heat your water when you want some hot water Yes you may used a lot of hot water and have it timed to come on, but what if you don’t use the water you have heated it will go cold which is money wasted it is by far cheaper to only heat the water you intend to use then turn the heater off again until you want some more hot water
