Which media file formats can the MAXQDA Media Player open?
The built-in Media Player can open any audio or video files if your computer has the appropriate software codec. If, for example, you use Windows Media Player on a regular basis, you probably already have the necessary codecs for WAV, MP3, WMA, WMV, MPG, and AVI files. If you are unable to open a certain file type in the MAXQDA Media Player, you can simply download a codec pack from the internet. MAXQDA users have had success with the free “K-Lite Codec Pack” (basic version), available at http://www.codecguide.com. Other options include the “ffdshow tryouts” codec pack (http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net) and various other packages available at http://download.cnet.com. Please remember that these software packs are produced by third-party developers, and we cannot provide specific user support for them.
