Who creates the test cases/scenarios?
Remaining true to the Lab’s mission statement the ideas for most of the tests come, either directly or indirectly, from our customers. Prior to building the first suite of tests the Lab team collected customer requests and engaged several representatives of customer facing organizations such as the Development Services (SWAT) team, CA Technical Services (CATS) and CA TS Architects teams, Support teams, and Research and Development and Product Management personnel. The team asked what customers were doing with the current release, and what they planned to do with the new release. The team also asked these groups what particular issues were keeping them up at night and what concerns they had about the new release. Consideration was also given to which areas of each product’s architecture were most likely to be placed under stress when implemented in large scale deployments.
