Who founded Seafood Choices Alliance?
Seafood Choices was created in 2001 by SeaWeb, a nonprofit organization, working in collaboration with chefs, wholesalers, retailers and fishermen who shared a concern for ensuring a healthy ocean and a stable supply of seafood. Founding members include: • Jacques Pepin, cookbook author and personal chef to Charles de Gaulle • Rick Moonen, rm seafood, Las Vegas • Traci Des Jardins, Jardiniere Restaurant, San Francisco • Nora Pouillon, Restaurant Nora, Washington, DC • Greg Higgins, Higgins Restaurant and Bar, Portland (Oregon) • Patty Unterman, Hayes Street Grill, San Francisco • Peter Hoffman, Savoy Restaurant, New York • John Pappalardo, commercial fisherman and policy analyst for the Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermen’s Association • Henry Lovejoy, EcoFish Inc. • Zeke Grader, Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen’s Associations, Inc.
