Who handles health issues at school, like head lice, pink eye, and other contagious conditions?
The Health Services Department works with students, parents, and teachers to help make each student a healthier learner. Our district employs 16 certificated School Nurses who assess student health needs; provide in-service training for staff and students; conduct health screenings; oversee maintenance of student health and immunization records; administer medication; provide emergency first aid and CPR to students and staff; and work with the Health Department in the control of communicable diseases.
